I guess I could have cleared off the counter tops before I took the photo of our newly remodeled kitchen, but then it wouldn’t look ‘lived in’. Besides, our dinner was cooking in that crock pot at the time.
This past Saturday my bride and I added all the trim and molding and she touched up the paint… where we managed to gouge the walls during the installation.
The highlight of the weekend occurred yesterday when I was able to return the nail gun and clamps to Dan Moore. Dan is the Home Depot employee – and good friend from church – who sold us the cabinets and gave us a ton of advice on how to install them.
Yesterday held another milestone for us. Lu burned all the scrap lumber and busted up old cabinets from the project. Our yard no longer looks like the county dump.
The only thing left to do – that can wait – is to put ceramic tile between the base and wall cabinets. Otherwise, this project is complete.
I’ll share one more photo with you… just because I like the picture.
This was taken last Friday morning as the sun was burning through the low level fog.
