Is this off the coast of North Carolina ?

I wish I knew! The beaches of North Carolina that I’ve seen are flat lands. But I haven’t been up and down the entire coast. Perhaps someone else will recognize it.

The red roofed building is located at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Seventh Street. It was built in 1907 and was known as the Keenan Building, housing offices and a fashionable photographic studio under the dome. It is now called the Midtown Towers, an apartment building of some disrepute (HUD building). With the recent resurgence of downtown living in Pittsburgh, it may get an image change. It certainly is worthy of it.

Many thanks to Bob Purdy who supplied a wealth of information about the building and how it has been allowed to fall into disrepair.

It doesn’t look like the Picture Rocks in the UP to me. I have seen them from many angles unless this is one I missed.
